Do you get affected by what others say and ruin your day?

It can happen at any place to anyone. You can probably snip something you felt bad about, while you are travelling or shopping in some store; an interaction a person who is not related to you and someone who probably you are never going to see again. If at your workplace, you can look out for options. But what if that person turns out to be relation…if distant still manageable, if close, life can be miserable!
Words can really be worse than swords but why do we allow our minds to keep hanging in that bitterness. It may not be damaging the person who said it, but it is indeed damaging for you, if you really do not let it go out of your mind.
How can you let it go?

Of course the mind battle is the most difficult battle. But try to take strides of your mind in your hands!

  • Either Pour out what’s bothering you
  • Talk to someone you can confide into
  • Write down what’s bothering you (you may discard it also once you have poured it out)
  • Or divert your mind away from it
  • Engage yourself in something fun
  • Talk to a friend general
  • Look around to find interesting stuff. Take a walk down the street. Observe things
  • Get your mind diverted into something that can totally engross you (create something- a painting, a poem, an article)

Bottom-line: Smile and do not let what others say ruin your day!
